A focused PDF task
The editor brings text notes, drawings, highlights, images, visual signatures and edits to the PDF’s own text into one workspace. It exports a copy with your changes; the source file stays as it was.
A clear processing model
Files selected from your device are processed in the browser. The extension downloads a linked PDF from its source after asking for access. Neither path uploads the PDF to a CleanEdit PDF server. In the web editor, four actions you start yourself do use our server: opening a link a site will not hand to the browser, recognizing text on scanned pages, which sends only images of those pages, editing the PDF’s own text and exporting it to Word, which send the whole file once you agree.
Honest limits
Secure redaction, certified digital signatures and conversion to formats other than Word are outside the current product. Its whiteout is only visual coverage. The text of a scan can be recognized, not edited.
