How to merge PDF files

Open the tool and add files with the button or by dropping them onto the window. Drag the files, or use the arrows, to set their order. To order single pages too, choose Arrange pages: the merged file’s pages appear, and you drag them or move one with Alt and the arrow keys. Choose Merge and download for the finished file, or Merge and open to keep working on it in the editor.

What the merged file keeps

Notes, form fields, links, bookmarks and page labels of every file are carried over. Each file gets a bookmark with its name, so a long document stays easy to move around. Form fields that share a name in different files are renamed, so their values do not mix.

Password-protected files

If a file needs a password, the tool asks for it, just as the editor does when you open the file. The password is used only in this browser.

Change the pages after merging

Choose Merge and open, then use the page thumbnails to move, delete or rotate pages, or to insert pages from another file.
